Hi, I'm Yovanny Duran.
Growing up in the Dominican Republic and in Brooklyn, NY I faced poverty but there were always others who were less fortunate than me. Ever since facing those times of hunger and homelessness I yearned to meet the needs of others just like my needs were being met.
It is still scary to get out of my comfort zone and ask others to help me fundraise but I am very excited to be one of the voices for the poor and needy through Hoops for Hope. I will be playing basketball for 24 hours which will be an amazing feat but nothing like the feat of bringing help to the Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope (SHCH) with your support. The Sihanouk Hospital provides free quality medical care to those in need in Cambodia.
Please join me and help me to reach my goal of raising $2,000 for the Sihanouk Hospital by April 11th. Every dollar helps and is very appreciated. Thank you all!
"For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land." Deuteronomy 15:11 ESV
